Materials

With recent breakthroughs in power, UAM is capable of welding a wide range of engineering alloys.  Alloys such as high strength aluminum, copper, and stainless steel have all been successfully made into parts using UAM. Since the process is solid state, there is no negative effects on material properties due to thermal cycles. This can allow for build up of materials that are otherwise considered un-weldable.
