Rapid Prototyping

A powerful use for any additive manufacturing process is in making prototype parts.  A designer can literally design a part in the morning and get a solid part out in the afternoon to use for testing.  Because UAM can be utilized in a variety of engineering materials, prototype parts can be made of aluminum, stainless steel, and even titanium.
